Sewer workers return to work, if salary hike is not given, next strategy will be decided - Union.

Giving information, the union members led by President Naresh Kumar said that they have been assured that they will be given the next salary hike i.e. Rs 25,000.
If they get less than this, they will have to give an assurance of coming on the path of struggle again and if such payment is made, they will decide the next strategy to fulfill the demand. The union members said that if they are pushed this time, they will not sit silent and will not back down from struggling at the Punjab level.
Meanwhile, Safai Karamcharis Federation Chairman Raja Hans and Outsource Workers Union Chairman Kamal Bhatti said that the demands of the sewermen are legitimate and it is the duty of the government to comply with the legitimate demands. They said that they are grateful to the union that all the members have decided to return to work understanding the problems of the city residents.
They said that if the government has promised them that they will get increased wages, then all the unions will struggle together. The responsibility for which will be with the corporation officials and the government.
