MLA Kulwant Singh dedicated new development works worth Rs. 79.63 lakhs to students in 05 different schools

S.A.S. Nagar, May 19, 2025: Constituency SAS Nagar MLA S. Kulwant Singh inaugurated various development works worth Rs. 79 lakh 63 thousand in five schools coming under his assembly constituency and dedicated them to the students.

Giving details of various development works dedicated to the students today, the MLA said that 02 smart classrooms built at a cost of Rs. 17.06 lakh in the Government Primary Smart School at village Daun in the Kharar constituency, 05 smart classrooms built at a cost of Rs. 37.55 lakh in the Government Primary School and Government High School of village Daun (Ramgarh) in Block Kharar-1, 02 smart classrooms built at a cost of Rs. 15.02 lakh in the Government Primary School of village Raipur and 10 lakh in the Government High Smart School Phase-6 Mohali have been inaugurated and dedicated to the students.
On this occasion, he also honored the students who came first, second and third in the results of the 10th standard of Government High Smart School Daun.
MLA Kulwant Singh said that the promises made by the government in the field of education are being fulfilled. For the progress and prosperity of any country, it is necessary for the residents of that country to be healthy and educated, following this line, the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab is continuously making efforts to raise the level of health services and education in Punjab. 
Under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government launched an education revolution to make the education system of Punjab better and the future of the children of Punjab safer and better, under which how the government schools of Punjab are providing modern facilities to the students like private schools, this news is reaching every child of Punjab and their parents and they are being encouraged to get maximum admission of children in government schools of Punjab. 
He said that the government schools of Punjab are no less than any private school now. He said that the Punjab government is very serious about education. Punjab is the leader in the field of education. He also asked the teachers to teach the children with honesty and dedication and take Punjab further. He said that the government is providing all kinds of modern facilities in schools.
The MLA also said that about 28 lakh children study in about 20,000 government schools in Punjab. Due to the efforts made by the current government of Punjab to raise the standard of education, almost every school in Punjab has a boundary wall. Every school has desks for children to sit, every classroom has green boards, drinking water and toilet facilities.
He said that to raise the standard of education in Punjab, 20,000 teachers have been recruited and 12,700 temporary teachers have been made permanent and their salaries have been increased by 3 to 4 times. Keeping in mind the safety of children and providing a clean environment in schools, about 9000 watchmen and cleaners have been deployed in schools. Internet services have been made available in 17000 schools.
On this occasion, SDM Apart from Mohali, Damandeep Kaur and school teachers, the Panch-Sarpanch and Mohtabar of the area and the entire Aam Aadmi Party team were present.
