Nawanshahr- Sangrand Day was celebrated at Red Cross De-Drug Center Railway Road. On this occasion, Gurdwara Singh Sabha Head Granthi Bhai Manjit Singh Nawanshahr performed Barahmah paath and offered prayers. He appealed to the patients admitted to the center to give up drugs by chanting Waheguru.

On this occasion, General Secretary of Doaba Sewa Samiti Rattan Kumar Jain motivated the boys admitted to the center to give up drugs and said that drugs are a very bad habit, the drug addict himself is ruined. But this not only harms you but also your family and society!
On this occasion, he appealed to all the patients to avoid bad company after being discharged from the center. And appealed to have a firm resolve in their minds to give up drugs!
On this occasion, Project Director of Red Cross De-Drug Center S. Chaman Singh said that efforts are made to make the patients admitted in this center drug-free. And the center arranges food and medicines for the patients.
He said that till now hundreds of boys have quit drugs and are living a good life after getting treatment from this center. On this occasion, social worker Subhash Arora recited a poem to the patients and motivated them to quit drugs and live a good life.
