Nawanshahr - Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims Nawanshahr organized an awareness camp on anti-drugs and World First Aid Day under the "Drug-Free India Campaign" at School of Eminence, Mehndipur. This camp was presided over by Shri Jagmohan Singh (Executive Principal).

Nawanshahr - Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims Nawanshahr organized an awareness camp on anti-drugs and World First Aid Day under the "Drug-Free India Campaign" at School of Eminence, Mehndipur. This camp was presided over by Shri Jagmohan Singh (Executive Principal).
Sardar Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the students of the school, first spoke briefly about the establishment of Red Cross. Addressing the students on this occasion, he said that drugs have become a very big problem in today's time. Because today a large number of students are also falling into the trap of drugs.
School students do not have knowledge about drugs at such a young age, due to which they consume drugs knowingly or unknowingly or under the influence of someone, and later they gradually get caught in the grip of drugs from small drugs to big drugs like heroin. He said that students face many problems in life, but studies and drugs can never be one.
During this, he shared detailed information about the diseases caused by drug use and said that people who are addicted to drugs are themselves mentally and physically ill, due to this their family members are also mentally ill. He shared many points to stay away from drugs.
On this occasion, Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur (Counselor) also shared detailed information about the treatment of patients at the center. Apart from this, on the occasion of “World First Aid Day”, he also gave a demo about CPR to the students, how we can save a person’s life with artificial respiration and chest compression.
He explained in detail about the importance of first aid in daily life, gave practical information about first aid for fainting, snake bite, drowning, heart attack, nosebleed etc. and said that we all should know about first aid and should join the Red Cross so that we can become participants in the service of humanity.
He also shared the link for first aid training ircsfa.org so that interested students can also take first aid training. On this occasion, Mr. Parvesh Kumar (staff member) also talked about the activities of the Red Cross.
On this occasion, Mr. Jagmohan Singh (Executive Principal) made the students aware about drugs and thanked the Red Cross team. Darshan Singh, Ravinder Singh, Fakir Chand, Surinder Singh, Neena Kumari, Sonia Chaudhary, Souniya Duggal, Neena Kumari, Vandana Minhas, and a total of 450 beneficiaries were present on this occasion.
