MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa distributes relief material to rain-affected families at Shri Ram Talai, Derabassi

SAS Nagar, September 11, 2025: Halqa MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa today reached Shri Ram Talai, Derabassi, where he distributed essential relief material to around 150 families badly affected by recent heavy rains. He was accompanied by the President of the Municipal Council, the Block President of the party, and several Municipal Councilors.

He was accompanied by the President of the Municipal Council, the Block President of the party, and several Municipal Councilors.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Randhawa said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to ensuring timely support and assistance to every family facing hardships due to incessant rainfall and waterlogging. He assured that the government will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people in this hour of need.
The relief kits distributed included food grains, ration and other daily-use essentials, aimed at providing immediate relief to the families until normalcy is restored.
The MLA further said that while the state government is taking large-scale steps for flood and rain management, the contribution and cooperation of local residents, elected representatives, and social organizations is equally important. He added that special focus is being given to restoring civic amenities, repairing damaged infrastructure, and preventing the spread of diseases in affected areas.
Expressing solidarity with the affected families, MLA Randhawa urged the public to remain patient and assured that the administration will continue its relief and rehabilitation efforts in a systematic and transparent manner.
The Municipal Council President, Block President, and other dignitaries present also contributed to the proactive approach of the MLA in reaching out personally to the needy families.
