Garhshankar, September 5:- A memorandum was submitted to SDM Garhshankar by passing a resolution against the crusher being installed in village Dallewal, Sarpanch Karam Chand said that a memorandum has also been submitted to BDPO Garhshankar, DFO Garhshankar in this regard.
He said that a resolution was passed in the Gram Sabha meeting not to install any stone crusher in the village, not to dig sand or stone from the ground. He said that this would lead to environmental degradation, increased risk of diseases, noise pollution, illegal mining, increased risk of floods, extinction of wild animals, and increased risk of life due to heavy vehicles.
Therefore, this decision has been taken using the Punjab Panchayat Act 1994. On this occasion, Hira Lal, Krishan Kumar, Chiranji Lal, Rakesh Kumar, Kultar Singh, Bal Kishan, Asha Rani, Sucha Singh, Karam Chand, Jeevan Rani, Anita Devi, Vishal Sharma, Harmesh Chand, Sanjana Sharma, Gurmeeto Devi, Anil Jassal, Mamta Devi, Urmila Devi, Darshana Devi and all the villagers were present.
