Hoshiarpur- Due to heavy rain, the road was completely closed due to a sudden landslide near village Chak Sadhu on Hoshiarpur-Una road. As soon as the information was received, MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
Taking immediate action, he started efforts to clear the road with the help of the civil defense team and local social workers. After continuous efforts, the debris was removed from the road and traffic was restored. During this, MLA Jimpa himself monitored the entire process and gave necessary instructions to the officials and volunteers.
He said that joint cooperation of the administration and society forms the basis of real solution in such works of public interest. The MLA appealed to the people to use this route carefully and avoid unnecessary travel. He said that the road has also been affected due to a landslide near the village of Pandoga on the border with Himachal Pradesh, due to which people should remain alert.
