Chandigarh, September 2 - Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that the state government's goal is to make every child and woman of the state completely healthy and empowered. Deworming Mukti Haryana - The dream of a healthy Haryana will be fulfilled when the basic strength of the society, women and children, are completely healthy.
She said on the Measure-Up Day today that concrete steps are being taken to make children, youth and women of reproductive age group free from worm infestation. In this series, National Deworming Mukti Day was successfully organized across the country.
She said that worm infestation has a profound impact on the health and nutritional level of children and adolescents. Due to this, problems like anemia, malnutrition, loss of appetite, stomach pain and weakness arise. Therefore, the government has provided the deworming medicine Albendazole free of cost to children and adolescents in the age group of 1 to 19 years and women in the reproductive age group of 20 to 24 years.
The Health Minister informed that this medicine was given to children and women through all government and private schools and Anganwadi centers of the state on 26 August 2025. Those who were deprived of this medicine due to some reason have been given this medicine today on Measure-Up Day, 2 September 2025.
He said that the health of children and women is the real capital of the society and the nation. With this thinking, teachers, Anganwadi workers and health department employees from across the state made this campaign a huge success. All of them decided that no child or woman should be left behind in the deworming campaign.
