Jalandhar- India's famous wrestler and world-renowned wrestler Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as "The Great Khali", today announced a big partnership with Global League Wrestling (GLW) in Jalandhar. This initiative has been taken to give a new identity to international level wrestling in India.

Sanjay Viswanathan, Chairman of Aadi Group Australia, and Cameron Vale, CEO of GLW, told a press conference that "India's population of 150 crores has an unparalleled passion for wrestling. Now it is time to take this sport to every village. By partnering with Khali ji, we will take this sport to every level and give a chance to new talent."
They said that just as players are prepared from the grassroots level in football, wrestling will also spread across the country. This partnership will create new opportunities for players not only from Punjab but also from all over India.
The organizers said that Doordarshan will telecast this wrestling league across India. Starting from September 17, it will reach more than 100 crore viewers every day for 40 weeks. Khali Ji’s students and new wrestlers will also participate in it, which will give the Indian audience an international level view.
This event will prove to be a new chapter in the Indian sports entertainment industry, in which the popularity of The Great Khali and the world-class experience of GLW will come together to take Indian wrestling to new heights.
