Garhshankar- SDM Garhshankar Sanjeev Kumar today visited Rampur Sainian and Kaharpur villages and took stock of the situation arising due to drain water in the villages. Officials of the Drainage Department and Revenue Department were also present with him.
The SDM directed the officials present on the spot to prepare a complete report of the damage done in the villages and send it to the district administration immediately. He said that the revenue department will collect the details of the affected families and farmers so that the relief and compensation process can be ensured in a timely manner. He assured the villagers that the administration will provide them all possible help.
He said that the affected people need not panic as the district administration is closely monitoring the situation and teams have already been put on alert for relief work. SDM Sanjeev Kumar also directed the local authorities to immediately repair the drainage system and deploy machinery and human resources as required to deal with the problem of waterlogging in the villages. He said that in view of the rainy season, all the concerned departments should be very alert and the safety of the people should be given top priority. While interacting with the villagers, the SDM listened to their problems and assured them that the administration is ready to help them in every possible way.
