
PRTC Pensioners Meeting: Demand for dues and new buses, slogans against the government.
Patiala- The monthly meeting of PRTC pensioners was held at the old bus stand in Patiala under the chairmanship of Bhagwant Singh Kanganwal, state president of PRTC Pensioners Association. In which pensioners belonging to different depots reached and expressed their views and stressed on paying the remaining dues.

Addressing this rally-like meeting, state president Bhagwant Singh Kanganwal demanded payment of the dues of the Pay Commission remaining since 2016. He said that as per the orders of the Honorable High Court and the Punjab Government, these payments have started in many departments but no payment has been made in PRTC yet.
Medical bills have also not been paid after December 2024. He demanded that these payments be made immediately. He said that many of our pensioners have become dear to God while waiting for these payments.
Secretary General Hari Singh Chamk said in his address that the Punjab government is strengthening its vote bank by giving government bribes to women earning Rs 80,000-80,000 and lakhs of rupees for free travel, while our pensioners are becoming dear to God while waiting for their dues. He said that paying government bribes for votes by cutting our stomachs should be stopped.
He said that the institution is losing Rs 1 crore daily due to this illegal free travel facility, which should be stopped. He stressed on introducing new buses in the institution, making the raw workers permanent and said that the introduction of kilometer scheme buses in the institution should be stopped. Due to the lack of money from the government, due to the lack of payment of the remaining payments of the pensioners, slogans were also raised against the government in the meeting.
This rally-like meeting was also addressed by Sarv Sri Bachan Singh Arora, General Secretary Central Body, Bachittar Singh Ludhiana Depot, Gurmeet Singh Kapurthala, Kala Ram Kotkapura Faridkot, Gurjit Singh Rana Bathinda, Sukhdev Singh Budhlada, Madan Mohan Sharma Barnala, Balwant Singh Joga Sangrur, Joginder Singh Patiala, Bhajan Singh Chandigarh.
Sarv Sri Bakshish Singh, Balwant Singh, Nirpal Singh, Ram Dita, Karnail Singh, Mahinder Singh Sohi, Santosh Krishna, Suraj Bhan, Sant Singh, Syam Sunder, Rameshwar Das, Joginder Singh Sanauri, Pritam Singh, Paramjit Singh, Ranjit Singh Geo also contributed a lot to make this meeting a success. Bachan Singh Arora handled the responsibility of the stage well.
