District Welfare Officer Una, Awas Pandit said that the facility of e-KYC has been made available at all Anganwadi centers in the district through a mobile app prepared by the department. For this process, beneficiaries are required to bring Aadhaar card, age certificate, certificate issued by Panchayat Secretary or Municipal Corporation or Health Department, voter card or PAN card or 10th certificate, birth-death certificate and a copy of bank passbook. After the process is completed, the pension will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
He said that at present there are a total of 8.3 lakh pensioners in the state, out of which 70,096 belong to Una district. These include old age, widow and disabled pensioners etc.
The District Welfare Officer clarified that the new e-KYC system will make the pension distribution process more transparent, simple and timely. This will ensure that the pension reaches the accounts directly on time and there will be no obstruction of any kind.
