Opposition is defaming Akali Dal on Ghasokhana sewerage pipeline issue - Janmeja Singh Sekhon.

Maur Mandi, June 6- Shiromani Akali Dal never opposes the sewerage pipeline being laid in Maur Mandi, rather repeatedly demands that it should be laid in the right manner, but some opponents are deliberately trying to defame the Akali Dal on this issue.

Maur Mandi, June 6- Shiromani Akali Dal never opposes the sewerage pipeline being laid in Maur Mandi, rather repeatedly demands that it should be laid in the right manner, but some opponents are deliberately trying to defame the Akali Dal on this issue.
This view was expressed by former Cabinet Minister of Punjab and in-charge of Maur constituency Janmeja Singh Sekhon. He said that the Akali Dal had spent about Rs 800 crore for the development of Maur constituency during its government.
But after that the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party government did nothing for the development of the constituency. Due to which today the roads of the entire constituency are broken. Due to lack of cleaning of Maur sewerage, leakage is happening at many places due to which the city residents are living a hellish life.
He further said that the sewerage pipeline being laid by the Maud administration should be laid in a technically correct manner. The pipeline has been laid from Maud Mandi to Kot Fatta Drain along the Bathinda-Mansa highway, but as it approaches village Ghasokhana, this pipeline is being laid in the middle of the village, which is not right and is also being opposed by the villagers.
He has appealed to the administration that instead of passing the pipeline through the middle of the village, it should be passed anywhere on the outskirts of the village. On this occasion, Harvinder Singh Kaka Burj, Harbhajan Singh Maisarkhana, Amritpal Singh Honey, Gurmel Singh Maisarkhana, Sukhjeevan Singh Maisarkhana, Charanjit Singh Thamangarh etc. were present with him.
