Una, August 6- E-KYC has now been made mandatory for all eligible beneficiaries of old age, disability, widow and single women social security pension schemes being given by the state government. In this episode, a one-day training camp was organized for Anganwadi workers at Kalyan Bhawan Una on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Program Officer Una Narendra Kumar.
On this occasion, Narendra Kumar said that the e-KYC verification work of pension beneficiaries will be done exclusively through Anganwadi workers, as they have in-depth knowledge of the geographical, social and family conditions of their area. For this work, the state government has made available 'e-Kalyan' mobile application to Anganwadi workers, the process of which has been started from August 2025. So far, most of the Anganwadi workers have successfully completed their registration on this app.
The District Program Officer said that providing social security to the needy sections of the society is among the top priorities of the state government. For this purpose, the government has launched the 'e-Kalyan' portal for the empowerment of Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Minorities and Specially Abled Classes, which has been developed under the 'Him Parivar Portal'. This portal is an important initiative for authentic and transparent verification of beneficiaries.
He also clarified that if the e-KYC process of a beneficiary is not completed, he will not be eligible to receive pension in the future. In such a situation, all the beneficiaries have been requested to contact their local Anganwadi worker soon and get their e-KYC process completed. Also, make other eligible persons around aware about this process.
On this occasion, District Welfare Officer Awas Pandit, Tehsil Welfare Officer Jatinder Kumar, and Supervisor Asha, Kulveer, Nanaki, Santosh, Kanchan, Veena, Meenu, Naresh and all the Anganwadi workers were present.
