Nawanshahr- Pensioners Association Powercom and TRASCO Mandal Nawanshahr organized a monthly meeting under the leadership of Mandal President Narinder Mehta. The role of Stage Secretary was played by Divisional Secretary Madan Lal, majority of pensioners attended the meeting. In which the issues of pensioners were discussed.
This meeting was addressed by Circle President Kulwinder Atwal, Circle Leader Vijay Kumar, Niranjan Kang, Divisional Leader Ravinder Rahon, Shambhu Rahon, Prem Chankoa, Charan Singh, Shiv Raj, Gurdev Gujjar Pur etc. The speakers strongly condemned the government for canceling the meeting to be held on July 29 with the joint front of employees and pensioners by the Punjab government.
The Punjab government is repeatedly running away from the meetings by scheduling meetings and is not resolving the demands. Against this weak and unreliable policy of the government, the joint front of employees and pensioners has taken the decision to burn the ashes of the Punjab government in Punjab from 5 to 12 August.
According to that decision, on 6 August at 10:30 am, a protest will be held against the government in front of the district headquarters, Shabshahar Nagar and the ashes of the Punjab government will be burned. A strong appeal was made to all the employees and pensioners of Nawanshahr to reach on time in the struggle being fought for their rights.
