
Sub-division Nawanshahr police solves blind murder case of woman.
Nawanshahr, August 1 - While the heart-wrenching blind murder incident of a woman in village Charan of sub-division Nawanshahr left the victim's family in deep shock, the police of Sadar police station Nawanshahr arrested the alleged culprit in the case within 24 hours, which in a way acted as a balm to the deep wounds of the victim's family.
Nawanshahr, August 1 - While the heart-wrenching blind murder incident of a woman in village Charan of sub-division Nawanshahr left the victim's family in deep shock, the police of Sadar police station Nawanshahr arrested the alleged culprit in the case within 24 hours, which in a way acted as a balm to the deep wounds of the victim's family.
Regarding this case, DSP Raj Kumar, along with Police Station Chief Ashok Kumar, claimed to have brought out the real facts of the case. He said that on the night of July 30, Asha Rani, aged about 55 years, was sleeping alone in her house in village Charan.
Then an alleged culprit of the village, Mukhan Ram, secretly entered her house with the intention of robbery. While he was roaming around the house, Asha Rani's eyes suddenly opened. Then she confronted the accused. Then the accused Mukhan Ram strangled Asha Rani with his finger and killed her. He said that during the encounter, Asha Rani had bitten the accused's hand, whose blood had fallen on the spot.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, Police Station Chief Ashok Kumar reached the spot, who, while investigating with wisdom, on the statements of Baljit Kaur, the eyewitness of the incident, registered a case number 122 at Sadar Police Station Nawanshahr and started searching for the accused. Then within a few hours, the accused was arrested and his remand was obtained for questioning. Then the gold earring removed from Asha Rani's ears, the sickle used to intimidate and the motorcycle used to escape from the incident were recovered from him.
