Hoshiarpur- Chabbewal Assembly Constituency MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal while giving information said that under the first phase, the Punjab Government is starting the construction work of state-of-the-art sports stadiums in 29 villages of the assembly constituency at a cost of more than 9 crores in the coming days and the amount to be spent on this project has been released by the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, for which he is grateful.
Dr. Ishank Chabbewal said that Lok Sabha Member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal is constantly trying to bring various big projects in his area, as a result of which development work is going on rapidly in Chabbewal Assembly constituency. Dr. Ishank Kumar said that the new stadiums to be built will be model stadiums. All the facilities will be available for the players in these stadiums.
All the stadiums will be fenced, solar lights will be installed so that players can play even at night. He informed that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced to start the construction of state-of-the-art stadiums across Punjab, under the first phase of which construction of 3,083 such stadiums is going to start.
Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal said that the aim is to promote sports culture in the state and keep the youth away from the evil of drug addiction. He said that the supply chain of drugs has been broken and most of the drug addicts are undergoing treatment for de-addiction and rehabilitation.
He said that the aim of this campaign is to make the youth of Punjab partners in the socio-economic development of the state by taking them out of the quagmire of drug addiction. Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal said that the Punjab Government has prepared a comprehensive plan to connect the youth with sports and keep them away from drugs.
He said that talented players who have represented India at the international level will be appointed as coaches to train the emerging players in these new facilities. Dr. Chabbewal said that Punjab is the first state in the country which provides financial assistance for the preparation of players before international competitions.
