Chandigarh- In the house meeting of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty raised important issues related to state vendors and demanded the administration to renew the licenses of the cancelled vendors. He said that there are many vendors whose licenses have been cancelled due to technical or administrative reasons, but they want to work again and give regular income to the Municipal Corporation.

Bunty argued that if licenses are issued to these vendors again, not only will illegal vending be stopped, but the Municipal Corporation will get direct benefit in revenue. Along with this, the vending system in the city will become more systematic and transparent.
He also reiterated that the vendors who have not been surveyed till now should be surveyed immediately and those whose licenses have been cancelled should be included in the renewal process as per rules.

In the Municipal Corporation House meeting, Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty raised a big issue regarding state vendors. He surrounded the Commissioner and Mayor and said that food items are being sold illegally in modified vehicles on the V4 roads of the city. These vehicles are neither according to the prescribed standards nor do they have any valid permission, due to which traffic is being obstructed and accidents are happening continuously.
He asked the administration that if a common citizen loses his life, then who will be responsible for it? Jasbir Bunty also demanded that the vendors who have not been surveyed till now should be surveyed immediately so that illegal activities can be curbed and the vending system can be regularized.
