Una, June 24 - Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar directed the banks to achieve the targets set under the annual loan plan on time so that the economic needs of the people can be met. To benefit the farmers, he also asked to distribute agricultural cards to as many farmers as possible, provide loans for agricultural tools and encourage to promote small industries. Una, June 24 - Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar directed the banks to achieve the targets set under the annual loan plan on time so that the economic needs of the people can be met. To benefit the farmers, he also asked to distribute agricultural cards to as many farmers as possible, provide loans for agricultural tools and encourage to promote small industries. The ADC said this while presiding over the district level bank advisory and review meeting.
Mahendra Pal Gurjar expressed satisfaction over the achievements made by the banks under the annual loan plan, but expressed concern over the low achievement of loan distribution in the primary sector. He directed all the banks to take necessary steps to increase the deposit-loan ratio and improve loan distribution in the primary sector.
He said that while following the targets and policies set by the government, banks should ensure that more and more people get the benefit of loan schemes, so that the common man and entrepreneurs can benefit. He directed all the banks to approve loan applications on time under government sponsored schemes.
Apart from this, he also stressed on taking appropriate steps for the fraud happening with the customers in the banking system and to make more and more customers aware and take necessary steps to be vigilant.
While reviewing the achievements in lieu of targets by the banks in the fourth quarter, the ADC said that the banks of the district distributed loans of Rs 2959.96 crore against the annual target of loans of Rs 2398.71 crore by March 2025. The deposits of the banks have increased to Rs 15006.45 crore, it has increased at an annual rate of 8.16 percent while the loan has increased at a rate of 11.77 percent to Rs 4735.37 crore. 
The district's credit deposit ratio has gone up to 31.56 percent in the year. The district's credit deposit ratio is less than the national target of 60 percent. He directed the banks and government departments to make every effort to improve the credit deposit ratio of banks.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that banks have distributed 70,132 Krishi cards to farmers till March 31, 2025, while banks have distributed 378 Krishi cards in the March quarter. The agricultural loan of banks is Rs 896.98 crore which is 18.94 percent of the total loans. He directed the banks to provide all possible help to improve the standard of living of the people.
The meeting was attended by Zila Parishad Chairperson Neelam Kumari, SDM Una Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan, District Lead Officer from Reserve Bank of India Rahul Joshi, Chief District Lead Bank Manager Sanjeev Kumar Saxena, ITI Director Sudhir Kumar Sharma, Joint Director Industries Anshul Dhiman, Deputy Director Fisheries Department Vivek Chandel, BDO KL Verma, District Panchayat Officer Shravan Kumar, Deputy Director Horticulture KK Bhardwaj, DDM NABARD Sabrina Rajvanshi, district coordinators of various banks and government/non-government officials.
