Nawanshahr- An emergency meeting of Kandi Sangharsh Committee was held in village Raudi under the chairmanship of District President Husan Chand Majhot. In this meeting, the incident of damaging the statue of Constitution maker Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was condemned and strict legal action was demanded against the culprit.
Along with this, Kandi Sangharsh Committee discussed the past struggles against illegal mining in the area and other demands of the area, future struggles to save the environment, ongoing illegal mining, ongoing illegal Khalsa crusher and intensifying and expanding the struggle to resolve other demands of the area. After discussions in the meeting, Deputy Coordinator Darshan Singh Mattoo, who reached the high position, said that Kandi Sangharsh Committee will not only fight for the demands of the area but will also give a befitting reply to the mining mafia kingpin who threatened the family of our struggle leader.
Sub-district leader Mahan Singh Raudi said that the Kandi Sangharsh Committee demands from the Mining Department, Forest Department, Canal Department and Police Department that the mining mafia which has been doing illegal mining in the area for a long time under political pressure should be curbed. The Kandi Sangharsh Committee decided in today's meeting that in the coming days, the struggle against the mafia which is damaging the environment by doing illegal mining in the area will be intensified and a list of names of the mining mafia will be prepared and published in various newspapers and media and will also be handed over to the administration.
On this occasion, Sub-district leader of All India Kisan Sabha Charanjit Daulatpur, former employee leader Prem Chand Rakkad, Harbhajan Singh, Biru Ram, Achhar Singh Torowal, Paramjit Kumar, Paramjit Singh Raudi were present.
