Police warehouse gutted in Wazirabad, North East Delhi.

New Delhi, April 6 - A fire broke out in the Wazirabad area of ??North East Delhi, gutting a Delhi Police warehouse. A Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said that a total of 345 vehicles were gutted in the fire. These were vehicles that the police had seized from different areas or were 'case property' of cases.

Seven fire brigade units reached the spot after receiving information at 4:30 am on Sunday and brought the fire under control after two hours. The DFS official said that the fire was brought under control at 6:20 am. The Wazirabad storage area has a history of fire incidents. This is not the first time that the Wazirabad warehouse has caught fire.
In August last year, 280 vehicles were gutted in a fire. Of the 345 vehicles destroyed in today's accident, most were two-wheelers (260) and 85 were cars. This is the second incident of fire in a warehouse in three days. The first was on Thursday when a fire broke out at the Delhi Traffic Police in Nehru Place, where about 100 vehicles were burnt.
