Hoshiarpur- Saroj Gupta, a resident of New Jagatpura, Hoshiarpur, has contributed one lakh rupees to the Wings Project being run by the District Red Cross Society for the welfare of mentally challenged children. He has given this contribution to the Red Cross Society in the memory of his late father Vijay Kumar Gupta.
Red Cross Society Secretary Mangesh Sood said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, canteens have been opened in government schools and colleges under the Red Cross Wings Project with the aim of providing employment to special children.
He thanked Saroj Gupta and her family for this noble work. Executive Committee member Rajiv Bajaj, Ishank Goyal and special children Bhavik, Savitri and Dilawar were also present on this occasion.
