Haryana to celebrate Grand Teej festival on July 28

Chandigarh, July 26: Teej festival will be celebrated in Haryana on July 28, Monday, with great pomp and show with traditional fervor and cultural enthusiasm. Colourful swings, folk songs and traditional cuisine will add to the beauty of this festival. Women especially celebrate this festival with great joy.

The state-level main function will be held in Ambala in which Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini will be the chief guest. Energy Minister Shri Anil Vij and Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Shruti Chaudhary will also be present on the occasion. On this day, Teej festival will be celebrated in every district, in which the state cabinet ministers will be present at the local level.
As per the schedule, State Development and Panchayat Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar will attend the function organized in Sirsa, while Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh will attend the function organized in Rewari, Education Minister Shri Mahipal Dhanda in Fatehabad, Revenue Minister Shri Vipul Goyal in Jhajjar, Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma in Sonipat and Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa will attend the function organized in Hisar.
Apart from this, Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare and Antyodaya (Seva) Minister Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi will be part of the programs organized in Bhiwani and Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao will be part of the programs organized in Narnaul.
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishan Lal Midha will also participate in the Teej ceremony organized in Jind.
The state government has directed the administrative officers of all the districts to make elaborate arrangements to celebrate Teej festival with traditional rituals and full enthusiasm. The administration has been asked to ensure that the general public, especially women, actively participate in the event.
Teej festival is a symbol of Haryana's cultural identity, which strengthens social harmony, women empowerment and cultural heritage.
