Public representatives demonstrated against drug abuse in Nasha Mukti Yatras.

Hoshiarpur- On Monday, Nasha Mukti Yatras were organized in all the assembly constituencies of Hoshiarpur district under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Local MLAs, administrative officials, social organizations, youth and citizens participated enthusiastically in these Yatras. Yatras were organized under different leadership in each assembly constituency, where public representatives gave a decisive message against drug abuse.

An anti-drug awareness rally was taken out in Brahmjeet under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh in Shamchurasi Assembly constituency. In Chabbewal Assembly constituency, Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA Dr. Ishq led the Yatras in Bichhohi, Bherua and Tajewal.
In Garhshankar, the Deputy Speaker made people aware against drug abuse in Dogarpur, Rasulpur and Golewal. In Hoshiarpur, rallies were held in Mehatpur, Mahalwali and Singhpur under the leadership of MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa. MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill campaigned in Miani, Rara and Nathupur of Udmud Tanda Assembly constituency. In Dasuha, MLA Karambir Singh Ghumman launched an anti-drug campaign in Bhated, Mand, Khun Khun and Sharki.
In-charge of Mukerian Assembly constituency Prof. GS Multani held a rally in Badhan, Dhamai and Badhi. New enthusiasm was seen among the public during this campaign. The public representatives present said that this is not just a yatra, but a resolution, which is moving towards making the whole of Punjab drug free. The youth supported this movement and said that they will make every possible effort to fight drug addiction to secure their future.
He said that the drug free yatras have created a wave of awareness across the district, which raises hope for positive change in the society. This campaign of the Punjab government has created a new confidence that if collective efforts are made, a drug free society can become a reality. This is just the beginning and the will to reach the goal will remain strong.
