Nawanshahr:- A special meeting of the social service organization Upkar Coordination Society was held at the local Doaba Sikh National Senior Secondary School under the chairmanship of JS Gidda Pradhan. The meeting was conducted by Principal Parvinder Singh Jassomjara himself, along with Ma: Narinder Singh Bharta, sharing information about the visit to the flood-affected areas, reporting in detail about the “Upkar Flood Victim Relief Fund” and thanking the collaborators.
The problems that will arise after the floods were discussed in the meeting. Everyone was of the opinion that they will be more worrisome. It was prayed that the exemplary cooperation should continue even later.
The House unanimously passed a vote of thanks for the endless service being rendered by religious, social service organizations and personalities, at the political and administrative levels in the flood-affected areas of Punjab. The House nominated a five-member committee to prepare a list of the real needs arising from the social service organizations of Dera Baba Nanak and Ajnala areas and the district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and adjoining areas through its members.
In which the committee consisting of Master Narinder Singh Bharta, General Secretary Jassomjara, Satnam Singh, Birbal Takhi and Des Raj Bali was authorized to carry out cooperative work in the flood-affected areas as per the need. The House passed a vote of thanks for the contribution made by NRIs, social service personalities and members to the special fund. The House expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Katai-Silai Training Center running at Doaba Sikh National Senior Secondary School.
A committee consisting of Madam Jyoti Bagga and Madam Sukhwinder Kaur Sukhi was formed under the leadership of Principal Parvinder Singh Jassomjara for the progress of the work of the training center. JS Gidda, Principal Parvinder Singh Jassomjara, Birbal Takhi, Master Narinder Singh Bharta, Des Raj Bali, Narinderpal Toor, Dr. Avtar Singh Denowal Kalan, Satnam Singh Chak Guru, Jyoti Bagga, Sukhwinder Kaur Sukhi, Rajinder Kaur Gidda, Palwinder Kaur Badwal were present in the meeting.
