Hoshiarpur- As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a district level function of National Voter's Day, which is celebrated across the country on 25th January, will be celebrated at the local Swami Sarvananda Giri Regional Center.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba said during a meeting with officials regarding National Voter's Day that the purpose of this day is to make voters, especially the youth and first time voters, aware and encourage them to exercise their franchise. He said that Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal will attend this function as the chief guest and will give a message to the young voters about their franchise.
He called for active participation in the Voter's Day function and urged to complete the necessary preparations in time. SDM Sanjeev Sharma and concerned officials were also present on this occasion.
