Garshankar, June 14 - Minister of Seva Bharti from Jalandhar Rampal Sharma said that this organization working for social service works in many areas. Its main functions include education, social values, social consciousness, self-employment, during calamities (floods, earthquakes etc.) helping every section of the society without any discrimination.
He said that it is a non-governmental organization with a special focus on socio-economically marginalized, tribal and tribal communities among the economically weaker sections of the Indian society. It also works in urban slums and resettlement colonies by initiating various welfare and social service programs such as free medical aid, education, as well as vocational training for self-reliance through its nationwide network of thousands of centers across the country. It organizes lakhs of activities throughout the year in hundreds of districts.
He said that Seva Bharti will establish units in the towns of Banga, Balachore, Rahon and Nawanshahr of district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshahr) and through these units, they will work hard for social service.
He appealed to the youth, especially those associated with social service organizations, to carry out their work in a better way by joining the work of Sewa Bharati.
