Hoshiarpur:- A quarterly meeting of the district level committee for providing facilities to senior citizens was held today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar. The meeting discussed in detail the safety of senior citizens, health services, facilities provided in banks, post offices and Life Insurance Corporation offices.
During the meeting, the committee members discussed the problems faced by senior citizens and gave clear instructions to the representative of the Head Post Office, Hoshiarpur to display the facilities available to senior citizens at a prominent place and ensure that they do not face any inconvenience in the post office.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner invited the members present to spread this message widely among the general public, so that the environment of respect and ensuring convenience of senior citizens in the society can be further strengthened.
On this occasion, HK Verma from District Legal Services Authority, Surjit Singh (Brigadier) Patron Senior Citizen Council Hoshiarpur, Naresh Kumar District Social Security Officer, Dr. Ranjit Singh, Mahinder Singh DSP, Suraj Prakash, Gurbaksh Lal, Babbaldeep Singh, Shiv Kapoor Sub-Post Master Hoshiarpur, Karamjit Singh District IT Manager, Baldev Raj SDO, Jarnail Singh and other committee members were present.
