Patiala, July 11: A delegation of Pensioners Welfare Federation Punjab Pehalwan, Power Corporation and Transmission Corporation led by Baba Amarjit Singh Pradhan met Director Administration Power Corporation Mr. Jasbir Singh Dhillon regarding payment of arrears of employees/pensioners in revised pay scales from 01-01-2016 to 30-06-2021 and brought to his notice that the notification issued by Punjab Government regarding revised pay scales dated 18-02-2025 is not being followed by the regional offices of Power Corporation.
The pensioners who retired after 01-01-2016 are not being considered as pensioners and their arrears are being made in installments by dividing them into two parts, which is totally wrong. This is not recorded anywhere in the notification of Punjab Government. The delegation included B.S. General Secretary Sekhon informed that in this regard the Director Administration was requested that all the pensioners who retired after 01-01-2016 should be considered as pensioners and the arrears of revised pay scales should be paid as per the schedule issued by the Punjab Government and Power Corporation.
The delegation brought to the notice of the Director Administration that the regional offices are deliberately creating inconvenience to the pensioners regarding the payment of arrears and demanded that strict instructions be given to the regional offices regarding the arrears of pay scales and strict action should be taken against those employees/officers who are deliberately delaying the same. The delegation included Baba Amarjit Singh, B.S. Sekhon, Balwinder Singh Pasiana, Rajinder Thakur, Paramjit Singh Jalandhar, Lakhvir Singh Kartarpur, Shivdev Singh, Manoj Mahajan etc.
