As per the directions of SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans, under the campaign launched by District Mohali Police against bad elements, Saurav Jindal, Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Talwinder Singh, Superintendent of Police (Operation), Jatinder Singh Chauhan, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Investigation) District SAS Nagar, Inspector Harminder Singh Incharge CIA. The team of staff has succeeded in arresting 02 accused and recovering a motorcycle brand Splendor used in snatching incidents and 05 stolen mobile phones from them.
Giving more information, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Saurav Jindal said that on 20-09-2025, CIA. Staff Police Party Balongi was present then CIA Staff SI Parvinder Singh received information that Ajay son of Rakesh resident of village Madanpur, Mohali and Hemant son of Ashok Chauhan resident of street no. 22 Balongi, who commit robbery and snatching incidents in Mohali city and surrounding areas and are still standing near the dirty drain Balongi on their motorcycle no. PB65-9104 brand Splendor color black and blue to commit any robbery and snatching incident, if they are caught now then the snatched mobile phones and other looted items can be recovered from them.
Based on the information, a case No. 201 dated 20-09-2025 under Section 304, 317(2), 3(5) BNS Police Station Balongi was registered against the accused. The accused were arrested along with the mobile phones stolen from the nearby Ganda Nala, Balongi.

Interrogated accused:-
Accused Ajay son of Rakesh, resident of House No. 6738 Phase-2 Village Madanpur Sector-55, Mohali, Police Station Phase-1 Mohali, whose age is about 24 years, who is 09th class passed and married.
Accused Hemant son of Ashok Chauhan, resident of House No. 73, Street No. 22, Balongi, Police Station Balongi, District SAS Nagar, aged about 29 years, who has passed 09 classes and is married. No case has been registered against the accused earlier.
The interrogation of the accused revealed that the accused had committed a total of 12 phone theft incidents in different areas of district Mohali, out of which 05 mobile phones have been recovered. The accused have admitted to selling 07 stolen mobile phones in Cashify Company stores Phase-1, Mohali and Sector-35, Chandigarh. Investigation is underway regarding which.
The accused had stolen a mobile phone Samsung from a student boy from Shivalik Apartment, Kharar, riding his motorcycle Splendor, which has been recovered. In this regard, case No. 437 dated 22-12-2024 under Section 304(2) BNS Police Station City Kharar has been registered and has been resolved.
