The Deputy Commissioner informed that about 28 thousand acres of land under Ambala city tehsil has been affected by waterlogging.
The former Minister of State appealed to the Chief Minister that if a siphon is constructed here, the problem of waterlogging in this area will be eliminated to a large extent. He said that as soon as the water level of the Tangri river decreases, the pumps and gates of the Irrigation Department will be lifted up and the water of the Nangal/Gande Nallah will be drained out.
