Doda/Jammu:- 2G mobile internet services have been restored in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir after a week. The services were suspended on September 8 due to protests following the detention of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mehraj Malik under PSA, but now the situation has almost returned to normal.
Low-speed mobile internet connectivity was restored across the district in the early hours of the day, but local residents reported difficulties in using online banking services due to limited 2G bandwidth and demanded full restoration of services.
Authorities on Sunday lifted broadband internet services and restrictions imposed under Section 163 BNSS in most parts of the district, allowing normal activities to resume. Educational institutions also reopened on Monday after three weeks.
