
SDM Kritika Goyal reviewed the Kathgarh drain, gave instructions for immediate cleaning of the drain.
Balachaur- Regarding the slight obstruction in the water channel of the Kathgarh drain due to continuous heavy rain and water flow for the past few days, SDM Kritika Goyal went to the spot along with the concerned officials today and reviewed the situation and directed the officials of the drainage department to immediately remove the weeds etc. that had washed away in the drain.

So that the full flow of water can continue. SDM Kritika Goyal while talking to the people said that due to the increase in the water level, the weeds had created obstruction in the flow of the drain, which has been resolved today.
She said that the teams of the district administration are continuously working around the Dhussi dam so that the people do not have to face any problem. Meanwhile, the SDM along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Avneet Kaur also reviewed the condition of the Dhussi Dam at Bela Tajowal and Auliyapur.
He appealed to the people that the civil and police administration is working shoulder to shoulder with the people in this difficult time and if they get information about any emergency situation in the sub-division, they should immediately inform the administrative officials or the control room established at Balachaur on 01885-220075.
He said that there is no danger of any kind at present but still everyone should remain alert. Rupnagar SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana and SDM Kritika Goyal dispatched 12 trucks of relief material from Gurdwara Sri Tibbi Sahib by Baba Avtar Singh with the support of the Sangat for the flood-affected areas.
SDM thanked the Gurdwara management for this initiative and said that Punjabis are always ready to help each other and in the current crisis, everyone should work together. Baba Avtar Singh said that with the cooperation of the Sangat, in the first phase, 12 trucks, which include fodder and food items, are being sent to the flood-hit areas at Dera Baba Nanak and Ramdas.
