Hoshiarpur- Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh today reviewed the Dhussi Dam built on the Beas River bridge from Tanda to Sri Hargobindpur with Tanda MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill. He inspected the situation on the spot and directed the officials to take immediate steps for strengthening and safety of the Dhussi Dam.
After this, Dr. Ravjot Singh reached the relief camp of village Miani, where he interacted with the affected families and reviewed their needs. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is leaving no stone unturned in the safety and relief work of the people. He assured that all possible help will be provided to the affected people.
Dr. Ravjot Singh said that under the leadership of MLA Jasvir Singh Raja Gill, relief material, food, drinking water and other essential facilities are being continuously provided to the affected people. He said that medical facilities are also being provided under the supervision of the district administration so that no one faces any health problem. Along with this, adequate arrangements have been made for fodder and medicines for the animals.
The Minister said that the district administration and the concerned departments are working with full force to strengthen the Dhussi Dam. He directed the officials to expedite the relief and rehabilitation work so that the affected people can get timely assistance.
On this occasion, Chairman of Nagar Sudhar Trust Hoshiarpur Gurvinder Singh Pabla, SDM Parampreet Singh, DSP Davinder Singh Bajwa, Tehsildar Manpreet Singh and other officials and dignitaries were present.
