According to the information received, out of the 12 people who died during the accident in a hotel in Georgia yesterday, 2 sisters-in-law and sister-in-law died, who were residents of Mahima village of Patiala district. According to the information, Sahib Singh had sold his land and sent his daughter Amarinder Kaur (32) to work in Georgia. A few years later, when Amarinder Kaur got a job in a hotel, she called her brother Jitinder Singh and sister-in-law Maninder Kaur (32) to Georgia.
Maninder Kaur's Peka village is in Jhanda Kala Mansa district. On which Jatinder Singh went to South Korea after some time and at this time Amarinder Kaur and her sister-in-law Maninder Kaur were working in a hotel. On which Jatinder Singh and Maninder Kaur had to come to India to celebrate their wedding anniversary next year.
But yesterday when the power supply was disrupted due to the flood in Georgia, the generator was being run to supply electricity to the hotel and when its smoke entered the room, the smoke turned into carbon monoxide, due to which 12 people died of suffocation in the hotel room.
Out of which sister-in-law and sister-in-law living in Mahima village near Rajpura became victims of this accident and died. When the news of the said death reached Mahima village, there was mourning in the village. On which the village residents and relatives have appealed to the Government of India and the Government of Punjab to bring their bodies to the village soon so that their last rites can be performed.
