Una, September 19 - Deputy Commissioner, Una, Jatin Lal, while reviewing the progress of the District Good Governance Index (Good Governance Index) in the NIC Hall of the DC's office on Friday, placed special emphasis on data accuracy and improved departmental performance. The meeting discussed in detail the department-wise progress of nine themes, 22 focus areas, and 128 indicators related to good governance.

The meeting discussed in detail the department-wise progress of nine themes, 22 focus areas, and 128 indicators related to good governance.
Deputy Commissioner, Jatin Lal, stated that the district administration's goal is to ensure high performance on all parameters of good governance so that the public can receive better and transparent services.
He particularly emphasized the accuracy and reliability of data, stating that data accuracy is the foundation for a correct assessment of good governance. He directed the departments of Health, Education, Rural Development, Revenue, and Labor and Employment to provide updated and revised information within a week.

During the meeting, key themes such as essential infrastructure, human development, social security, women and children, law and order, environmental protection, transparency and accountability, economic performance, and land and revenue management were reviewed.
Additionally, the performance of various departments, including education, health, welfare, water power, public works, electricity board, revenue, forest, police, district food supply, agriculture, vigilance, pollution control board, rural development, labor and employment, district welfare, animal husbandry, agriculture, excise and taxation, and DIET, were discussed.
