Chandigarh, August 23 - Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed building of Golden Jayanti Haryana Institute of Financial Management in Sector-3, Panchkula. This building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore 12 lakh.
Urban Local Government Minister Shri Vipul Goyal, Public Works Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa and Health and Family Welfare Minister Aarti Singh Rao were also present on this occasion.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister, while congratulating and wishing, said that this institute will play the role of a high-quality think tank, which will provide modern policy advice, data-based and innovative solutions to the Haryana Government.
He said that it will become the backbone of our financial decisions. He said that the vision of the institute is in line with the recommendations of the 7th State Finance Plan and Haryana's commitment towards achieving sustainable development goals by the year 2030. This initiative will give a new direction and momentum to financial management in Haryana.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that financial management is an important subject. A better financial management plays a vital role in accelerating the development of the state. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has resolved to make India a developed nation by the year 2047.
Haryana will have a significant contribution in fulfilling this resolution. Golden Jayanti Haryana Institute of Financial Management is an apex institute of the Government of Haryana which works on financial policy, research and implementation of sustainable development goals.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary of Haryana Shri Anurag Rastogi, Chairman of the State Finance Commission Shri Sanjeev Kaushal, Director General of Golden Jayanti Haryana Institute of Financial Management Dr. Anshaj Singh, Mayor Mr. Kulbhushan Goyal, former Assembly Speaker Mr. Gianchand Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Monika Gupta and other officials were present.
