Chandigarh, June 23-Indira Gandhi National Open University has started the admission process for July 2025 session. IGNOU aims to provide equal opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge. IGNOU is working to provide quality higher education to students from remote areas and villages.
Giving information in this regard, the university spokesperson said that UGC-DEB has started a new admission process for all open and distance learning and online programs. According to the UGC-DEB public notice, now it is mandatory for every student to create a DEB-ID using their ABC ID before registering in any open and distance learning or online course.
He said that interested students can create their ABC ID with their Aadhar card, PAN card by visiting the UGC-DEB website https://deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDeBID or through Digilocker https://www.digilocker.gov.in and visiting DEB-ID or www.abc.gov.in.
The spokesperson said that to get admission in IGNOU, students should visit the official website www.ignou.ac.in and click on the Fresh Admission link given on the homepage. After this, they should enter the DEB-ID and their personal details like email ID and mobile number etc. and upload the requested documents. 
After this, they can pay their admission fee through online medium using debit card, credit card. The last date for admission to various Certificate, Diploma, PG Diploma, Graduation and Post Graduation courses of IGNOU for the July 2025 session is 15 July 2025.
