SAS Nagar, August 2 - In protest against the raid conducted by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on the house and office of former senior Akali Dal leader Ranjit Gill (who joined the BJP under the leadership of BJP District President Sanjeev Vashisht and Punjab Vice President Subhash Sharma last night), a large number of workers led by BJP District President Sanjeev Vashisht reached the DC office and raised slogans against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and the Punjab government and protested against the Vigilance's action.
On this occasion, Sanjeev Vashisht said that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab has completely resorted to revenge politics. He said that after leaving the Akali Dal, Gill was constantly being pressured by the AAP to join the AAP party.
He said that earlier there was a program to induct Mr. Gill into the BJP during a program organized in Kurali on August 3, but due to continuous pressure from the Aam Aadmi Party, he was inducted into the party late at night on August 1. Angered by this, the government raided Gill's house and office the very next day and gave evidence that the government has completely sunk into revenge and bullying.
He said that Sanjeev Vashisht said that if we look at the last three and a half years of the government's tenure, it is seen how the government tried to put pressure on many leaders by taking actions at different times under the spirit of revenge. He said that Ranjit Gill is a person and leader with a very clean image.
Till date, there is no accusation or stain on his name. The government is pressuring him only because he has joined the BJP instead of the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that the BJP will also submit a memorandum to the Governor opposing this action of the government.
On this occasion, a memorandum was submitted to the DC of Mohali in the name of the Punjab government. On this occasion, Punjab BJP treasurer Sukhwinder Singh Goldy, senior BJP leader Kamaldeep Saini and other leaders and workers were present with him.
Vashisht said that on one hand the government says that BJP has no presence in Punjab, on the other hand the government is so scared of BJP that now it has started such tricks. He said that the government knows very well that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government with a majority in the upcoming 2027 assembly elections.
Because the people of Punjab, who had put the Aam Aadmi Party on the throne by giving it a huge majority of 92 seats, are going to throw them to the ground after getting fed up with the Aam Aadmi Party.
