Sharing the information, AMO Rajdwinder Singh said that according to the directions of Civil Surgeon Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana, the anti-larvae wing of the health department visited the houses in Sunder Nagar today and after destroying the water stored in coolers, pots, etc., completely It was asked to keep it dry so that the larvae of disease-carrying mosquitoes can be killed.
He said that wherever mosquito larvae were found, they were destroyed on the spot. Apart from this, anti-larvae wing also sprayed in different wards of Civil Hospital today to protect against mosquitoes. Regarding protection, he said that to protect against mosquito bites, wear full-sleeved clothes during the day, by using mosquito repellent creams and taking care of cleanliness, we can avoid vector-borne diseases. He asked all the residents of the city to follow the guidelines of the health department so that these diseases can be prevented.
He said that awareness and survey activities will be intensified by the health department in the coming days. On this occasion, Health Inspector Jaswinder Singh, MPHW Baljinder Singh, Vinod Kumar and Gagandeep Sial were present from Anti Larva Wing.
