Una, April 26:- In an inspiring incident that strengthened the bond of trust between the public and the administration, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal reached the fields of a farmer of the district to fulfill his promise. He not only encouraged farmer Vijay Kumar there but also came forward and helped him in the work.

He not only encouraged farmer Vijay Kumar there but also came forward and helped him in the work. Let us tell you, farmer Vijay Kumar of Haroli in Una district does natural farming. DC Jatin Lal had gone to Haroli in the first week of April on a formal visit to observe the natural farming operations in the Atma Project. Then he visited Vijay's fields there and promised him to come again at the time of threshing of wheat crop. Keeping his promise, Jatin Lal reached Haroli at Vijay Kumar's place on Friday. During this time, Una District Director of Aatma Project, Virendra Bagga, Deputy Director Shamli Gupta and Soil Testing Officer Deepika Bhatia were also with him.
During this time, the Deputy Commissioner observed and understood the entire process of wheat threshing and also helped in it. He appreciated the efforts of Vijay Kumar in natural farming and along with getting information about sowing of other natural farming crops there, he also learned the method of making Jeevamrit used in it. Vijay Kumar does natural farming on about 55 kanals of land. In this, they practice chemical-free mixed farming using natural methods and grow cash crops along with traditional crops.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officials of Atma Project to arrange training at the block level for the farmers doing good work in natural farming in the district. He also directed that the problems of farmers should be solved in the fields. It is noteworthy that about 8 thousand farmers are doing natural farming in Una district.
