Freudenberg Nok Mazdoor Ekta Union President Kamaldeep Saini, General Secretary Prince Sharma, Press Secretary Sohan Lal, Manpreet Singh, Baljit Singh, Sarabjit Singh and Satnam Singh and Punjab ATK General Secretary Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal and Vice President Vinod Chugh while talking to reporters here. He said that the future of about 600 contract workers has been jeopardized due to the closure of the company by the management of the company.
He said that preparations are being made by the management of Freudenberg Nok Private Limited Company to terminate the jobs of about 600 contract workers and attack their livelihood by closing the name of shifting the company's place to Morinda.
Mentioning the crisis posed by the company to the workers, the above mentioned leaders said that the company owners are closing this important and profitable industry from village Basma and shifting the machinery to other states and places. Meanwhile, the management is not giving any assurance regarding the jobs of the workers, from which it is clear that 600 workers will be dismissed.
He said that most of the workers in this company are young boys and girls from nearby villages, who will become unemployed with this phenomenon of the company. Punjab Government, Labor Department, despite being aware of the whole situation, are not even concerned about the displacement of workers and no legal action is being taken against the company. From which the doubt arises that all this is happening with the consent of the government.
The leaders have announced that if the Punjab government, the labor department and the management do not protect the jobs of the workers So, on January 29, 2024, a massive protest will be held at village Basma with the help of the people of the area, including in front of the company.
