
Youth can be kept away from drugs only by making them aware of it: Chaman Singh Project Director

On this occasion, Chaman Singh (Project Director) gave an address and first informed about the background of Red Cross. He said that the youth of Punjab are badly trapped in the nexus of drugs, while the history of Punjab is not like this. The land of Punjab has always given birth to brave warriors, but some people put the youth on the path of drugs for their own benefits. and are endangering the future of Punjab. He said that the youth should be aware of drugs in order to avoid the diseases caused by them. Addiction alienates a person from society and family. The mental level of a person addicted to drugs falls to such an extent that he starts committing accidents like suicide while being away from each and every relationship. He said that today's youth is falling prey to bad company due to uncultured behavior. It starts with a small addiction, and in the future those addictions take a big and deadly form. Parents should take care of their children at school and college level.
On this occasion Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Councillor) while addressing the gathering said that the youth of today are the future of tomorrow. He said that we should stay connected with books and apart from education, we should also read books related to culture and mother tongue so that the youth can avoid the evils found in the present time. Keep the body healthy with a balanced diet, with which the mind will also be healthy and one should live an ideal life by reading biographies of heroes and warriors and taking guidance from them. He gave detailed information about the treatment of patients at the center.
In the end, Mrs. Sukhwinder Kaur thanked the team from Red Cross and appealed that the information given through the discussion in the seminar should be implemented so that the goals of drug free India campaign can be achieved. School staff members Sukhwinder Kaur, Kumari Goldie, Kamaldeep Kaur, Mamta Rai, Davinder Singh and students were present on this occasion.
