IG (Intelligence) Babulal Meena reviews security arrangements

Hoshiarpur- Punjab IG (Intelligence) Babulal Meena today reviewed the security arrangements here in view of Republic Day and directed the police officers to be fully vigilant during duty. He said that checking should be intensified at police checkpoints in the district and immediate action should be taken if any suspicious activity is found.

On the instructions of Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, ADGP and IG rank officers are reviewing the security arrangements in various districts. Under which IG Babulal Meena is conducting a review in Hoshiarpur district. While holding a review meeting on security arrangements with police officers including SSP Surendra Lamba at the local District Administrative Complex, IG Babulal Meena said that patrolling should be intensified in crowded areas in cities and towns. He said that along with security, smooth traffic arrangements should also be ensured on the occasion of Republic Day.
After the meeting with the officials, IG Babulal Meena visited the police line ground, bus stand, Sadar police station etc. and reviewed the security arrangements. IG Meena while talking to the reporters said that the police have made adequate security arrangements and 11 inter-state and 11 inter-district checkpoints have been set up and patrolling parties are continuously patrolling.
He said that in view of security, night domination has been increased so that any kind of suspicious activity can be kept under control. He said that special instructions have been given to the checking teams to pay special attention to checking two-wheelers. He said that around 1200 police personnel have been deployed in the district under security arrangements.
SP (Headquarters) Manoj Thakur, SP (D) Sarabjit Singh, SP (PBI) Major Singh, SP (Operations) Navneet Kaur Gill and senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
