
SDM Balachore held a meeting with the school principals regarding the safe school vehicle policy
Balachore - A meeting was held with the heads of private schools under the chairmanship of Sub Divisional Magistrate Ravinder Kumar Bansal (PCS) at Block Balachore. During the meeting, he instructed the heads of all the schools to follow the instructions given regarding the safety of children under the Safe School Vehicle Policy so that no untoward incident takes place in the future.

District Child Protection Officer Kanchan Arora, who was present during the meeting, informed about this and said that there should be no laxity in implementing the policy following the instructions of the Hon'ble High Court. Giving information about the 28 types of conditions given by him for school buses under the Safe School Vehicle Policy, it was said that the driver of the school bus must be in uniform, CCTV cameras must be installed in the bus, any female child in the bus It is mandatory to have a lady attendant while travelling, speed governors should be installed in the bus, emergency kit should be present, first aid kit should be present in which the drugs should not expire, from the seating capacity of the bus. There should not be more children, the name and phone number of the school should be written on the school van and if the school has hired the van on rent, it should have on school duty written on it.
Accordingly, while giving detailed information, the District Child Safety Officer appealed to the heads of all the schools present in the meeting to update all the school buses of their schools as soon as possible according to the conditions of the Safe School Vehicle Policy. During the meeting, the sub-divisional magistrate gave a strict warning and said that if any deficiency is found in any school bus during the checking, strict action will be taken against the concerned school principal and driver as per the law.
District Child Protection Officer Shaheed Bhagat Singh, head of private schools of Balachore block and staff of SDM office Balachore were present in the meeting.
