21 February Nawanshahr- As per the guidelines of National Legal Services Authority and the orders received from Member Secretary Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, on the directions of District and Sessions Judge Priya Sood and CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Dr. Amandeep, Paralegal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authority Vasdev Pardesi and Des Raj Bali organized a legal awareness seminar in Government Smart High School Alachour.
Judicial Officer (under training) Madam Anchal Dhir participated in this seminar as the chief guest. On this occasion, while giving information about the POCSO Act, he said that if anyone harasses children, physically molests them in an inappropriate manner, shows them pornographic videos, sends wrong messages, mentally harasses them or if any kind of unpleasant incident occurs, children must inform their parents and teachers, or call the children's helpline number 1098 for help.
While addressing the children, he also gave information about free legal aid, child marriage, child labor and the toll free number 1968 of the District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. On this occasion, apart from PLV Vasdev Pardesi and Des Raj Bali of District Legal Services Authority Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Principal Sanjeev Kumar, Sukhwant Kaur, Surinder Pal, Ritu Sareen, Sonia Bali, Dimpy Khurana, Sakshi Sareen, Sukhwinder Kaur, Sandeep Kaur, Manpreet, Babita, Karishma, Navjot Kaur and other students were present.
