Patiala, April 8 - The Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Patiala has announced to give the fourth Pritika Sharma Literary Award for the year 2024 to the young poet Roohi Singh in the executive meeting under the leadership of the president of the society Dr. Darshan Singh Asht.
In which they will be presented with shawls and certificates in addition to cash. Roohi Singh is one of the progressive poets of today who has earned a good reputation in a short span of time. Through Punjabi poetry and children's literature, he has beautifully depicted the sensuality, tenderness and potential of the female and child mind. According to Dr Asht, the family of General Secretary of the Sabha, Davinder Patialvi, has started the tradition of giving this award every year on the occasion of his daughter Preetika Sharma's birthday to a writer who has made a special contribution in any field of Punjabi literature. This award is given in collaboration with Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Patiala. Roohi Singh will be presented with this award at a function to be organized at the Department of Languages in the near future.
