Modi College honored more than 410 students including two gold medal winners

Patiala, March 27 - During the annual prize distribution function of Multani Mall Modi College, 141 students were honored with college colors and 267 with merit certificates, apart from the students who won two gold medals. Students who achieved achievements in NCC and other activities were also felicitated.

Shri Anirudh Tiwari IAS Tashrif was brought as the chief guest who along with other special guests felicitated the winners. Mr. Vineet Kumar, Executive Director of NIS Patiala was also present as a special guest on this occasion. The function started with Saraswati Vandana and Shabad singing by the students of the college. College Principal Dr. Neeraj Goyal, College Registrar Dr. Ashwani Kumar and Controller of Examinations Dr. Ajit Kumar said that this year the college has secured 23 Roll of Honor, 141 College Colors and 267 Merit Certificates including two gold medals in Punjabi University Examinations. |
Priyanka (MSc, Part-II, University First in Fashion Design and Technology), Komal (MSc-Part II, University First in Food and Nutrition), Anshita (MSc-Part II, University First in Fashion Design and Technology), Anisha Lohia (MSc- Part 11, 2nd in Food and Nutrition in University), Rajbir Kaur (MSc- Part 11, Roll off) Vandana in Chemistry (3rd in University) and Vandana (3rd in B Com-Part 3) Awarded for achievements in academic field.
In sports Amanpreet Singh (BA Part III) won gold medal in 53rd World Shooting Championship at Baku Azerbaijan, Keerti (BA Part II) won gold medal in Boxing Championship at Astana, Kazakhstan. And Bhargavi Prashant Shakhe (BCA) won the gold medal in the boxing championship Astana, (Part-11 in Kazakhstan) was felicitated with the Roll of Honor for receiving the 'Hindustan Ratna National Award' and winning the Gold Medal at the 7th South Asian Karate Championship held at Kathmandu, Nepal.
