Una, March 23 - The bidding for the remaining 110 retail liquor shops in the district will be held on March 27 at 2 pm in DRDA Hall Una. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner State Tax and Excise Una Vinod Singh Dogra.

He said that according to the excise policy of the year 2024-25, the quota of English liquor can be raised only according to the consumption. MRP has been abolished. Instead of shop quota, there will be unit quota. There will be cash down condition on bids and tenders. Country liquor will also be available at English liquor shops in urban areas. There will be no minimum distance and NOC conditions for opening a sweet wine shop. Relaxation has been given in the opening and closing time of shops and bars. Apart from this, the shelf life of beer has been increased from six months to nine months.
