Una, June 28- The first one-day district level swimming competition was successfully organized at Swing Sing and Swim Slim Swimming Pool in Una on Saturday courtesy Himachal Pradesh Swimming Association. In the competition, 30 players of different age groups of Una district showed their strength in a total of seven competitive categories.
Superintendent of Police Amit Yadav attended the program as the chief guest. While encouraging the participants, he said that sports are not only a powerful medium of physical and mental development, but they also cherish life values ??like discipline, team spirit and self-confidence. He stressed the need to connect sports with education and said that children's interest in sports keeps them away from addiction and useless activities.
The SP urged the sports associations of the district to organize such competitions regularly so that young talents can get the experience of participating in state and national level competitions.

In the 50 meter west stroke competition of swimming competition, Deepak Kumar got first place, Rajan Singh got second place and Naresh Kumar got third place. In the girls' free style competition, Anvi Sharma got first place and Ravani Bedi got second place and in the senior category, Rajan Singh got first place, Anirudh Sudal got second place and Girish Chandra got third place.
On this occasion, ASP Sanjeev Bhatia, former president of Nagar Parishad Baba Amarjot Bedi, Swimming Association President Rupneet Kaur Bedi, General Secretary Varun Ratan and others were present.
